Fone-A-Frend Legal Disclaimer

Fone-A-Frend is a service designed to provide friendly, uplifting conversations and social engagement. By using our platform, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Limitations of Service: Fone-A-Frend does not provide counseling, therapy, or act as a suicide prevention hotline. If a client expresses suicidal thoughts during a conversation, Fone-A-Frend will encourage the client, using the QPR method, to contact the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 for immediate professional assistance. Fone-A-Frend will assume that the client has followed this advice, but will not be held responsible for any actions the client takes or does not take regarding the call. Additional professional resources will be provided, as necessary.

2. No Professional Advice: Fone-A-Frend does not offer mental health, medical, marital, legal, or financial advice, counseling, or coaching. Fone-A-Frend will not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to personal injury, wrongful death, loss of business profits, business interruption, or relationship or health issues that arise from the use of our service.

3. Right to Terminate Service: Fone-A-Frend reserves the right to terminate any call if the client is rude, disrespectful, threatening, harassing, or engages in inappropriate or sexually explicit behavior. In such cases, the client will not be entitled to a refund. Fone-A-Frend also retains the right to refuse service to any client at its discretion.

4. Acknowledgement of Service: By scheduling a call with Fone-A-Frend, the client acknowledges that Fone-A-Frend is a listening service, not a counseling, therapy, coaching, advisory service, or suicide prevention hotline. The client agrees not to hold Fone-A-Frend responsible for any injury, damages, or legal claims arising from the use of our service. The client further agrees to defend and indemnify Fone-A-Frend from any legal action related to the use of the service.

5. Confidentiality and Privacy: Fone-A-Frend is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of all client interactions. Phone calls will not be recorded without the client’s consent. Any personal information shared by the client will be kept confidential, except where disclosure is required by applicable law or court order. If a client mentions harming themselves or others, Fone-A-Frend will advise the client to contact emergency services (911) immediately.

By initiating a call or sending text messages to Fone-A-Frend using the introductory first call offer on the website, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions outlined on this website.
